Sentio advises on the sale of Dene Healthcare to Rocialle Healthcare

Sentio Partners have advised the shareholders on the sale of Dene Healthcare Limited (“Dene”), a leading supplier of medical goods, to Rocialle Healthcare Limited (“Rocialle”) in a deal supported by a host of Yorkshire advisers.

Based in Leeds, Dene Healthcare is a leading supplier of medical goods and services to GP surgeries, federations, primary care networks and other healthcare providers throughout England. Founded in 2004, the four-times winner of ‘Medical Supplier of the Year’ has a strong reputation for supplying over 2000 products and delivering outstanding support and advice to over 1,200 GP surgeries and other customers every year.

Rocialle is a leading manufacturer and supplier of single-use instruments, PPE and procedure packs to almost every NHS trust in the UK, becoming part of an international joint venture with Zhende Medical, a Shanghai Exchange listed business, and Multigate Medical in 2019. The addition of Dene to the group will help Rocialle to further extend their breadth of offering across the UK healthcare community.

A Yorkshire based team supported the shareholders in relation to the transaction – Sentio Partners acted as lead adviser (Dave Irwin and Brooke Fenton) with Clarion (Richard Moran, Alex Cooper, Isabelle Hammond) providing legal advice.

Founding shareholder Mike Drakard said “Dene Healthcare has delivered remarkable growth in market share through a continued support of general practice over the last 17 years and is now widely recognized as a true innovator within the sector. The sale to Rocialle signifies the next exciting chapter in Dene’s journey, but one that I am confident will continue our partnership approach with primary care.”

Simon Loose, CEO of Rocialle Healthcare added “With healthcare professionals facing more challenges than ever before, we’re continually looking at solutions to help ease pressure on resources and budgets. Dene Healthcare holds the same values as we do, and we are therefore very much excited by the prospect of working with them to support healthcare professionals. We are driven by helping to free our customers to focus on patient care, and together we work towards enabling treatment, facilitating prevention, and encouraging personal wellbeing”.

Commenting on the deal Brooke Fenton of Sentio Partners added: “It has been a real pleasure to advise the Dene shareholders and to work with a market-leading business that has achieved growth in revenue and profitability year-in, year-out, since it was established. We are confident that this success will continue under Rocialle’s ownership”.
