Sentio advises on the sale of Prime Surfactants to Brenntag

Sentio Partners have advised the shareholders on the sale of  Prime Surfactants Limited a leading distributor of surfactants specialties to Brenntag; the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution in a deal supported by a host of Yorkshire advisers.

 

Based in Leeds Prime Surfactants is a Leeds-based leader in distribution of specialty surfactants for the personal care and household industrial and institutional (HI&I) industries as well as other industry segments in the UK. Founded in 2011 the Prime portfolio includes a range of sustainable products and had sales of around £22 million in the most recent financial year.

 

Listed on the German stock exchange Brenntag is the global market leader in chemical and ingredients distribution generating sales of EUR 14.4 billion in 2021 across 700 locations in 78 countries.

 

A Yorkshire based team supported the shareholders in relation to the transaction – Sentio Partners acted as lead adviser (Andrew Barlow and Andy Miller) with Addleshaw Goddard (Richard Hunt & Caera Loughran) providing legal advice.
