Sentio transaction wins deal of the year at Sheffield Dealmakers Awards

The acquisition of Mac’Ants Abrasives by Samuel Hodge has won mid-market deal of the year at the Sheffield City Region Insider Dealmakers Awards beating off strong competition. Will Arnold and Andrew Barlow from Sentio Partners advised the shareholders of Mac’Ants on the sale.

Commenting on the deal, Insider magazine stated “Mac’Ants was disposed through a competitive trade auction, it represents a strategic acquisition which created a group which employs more than 180 people and has a combined turnover in excess £25m.”

Meanwhile, three of Sentio’s transactions have been nominated in deal of the year categories at The BusinessDesk’s Yorkshire Rainmakers Awards, to be announced in July 2015: Business Growth Fund’s investment in Moda in Pelle; Liberate’s acquisition of Trustmarque; and the buy-out of Kiddicare.com from Wm Morrison Supermarkets and subsequent sale to World Stores.
